Sam's Song
And this may be the hardest thing I have ever done
Trusting in my brother, one of my father’s sons.
He tries to teach us, for he claims he knows the way
But now I cannot understand the things he says
I’m forced to choose, is it him or the older two?
But I can’t decide- I’m caught between what to do.
I have been wandering this wilderness for days-
It does nothing for the wilderness of my haze.
I long to stay and rest in this bountiful place
But apparently the Lord says that’s not the case
And I say that I pray and I sigh while I try
But look, Father, it’s hard, then I can’t help but cry
I pray, but am still unsure of what I should do
But for now that’s enough, I’ll trust my brother, too.
