That’s the phrase that has echoed throughout our house after
seeing the Star Wars VII preview. The brothers and I have been having a Star
Wars marathon this summer, and Harry Potter can also be heard blasting from the
TV. When we’re not watching movies, you can also find the Hendricksons hanging
out with cousins, working, and sleepwalking (we can’t stop quoting Curran who
told Mom that he was “walking in the world” countless times the other night).
Luke finally finished reading the Harry Potter series for the first time, and I
decided to reread them for the fourth or fifth time. They’re still just as
magical, if not more so, than the first time.
And let me brag about my friends one more time. I’m literally obsessed with these two photos Megan (happy birthday to her) took, one at Blenheim Palace and one in Scotland. I can’t stop staring.
Also, you know you live in California when you go the mall,
and there is a woman dismayed that there are no recycling cans around. “I guess
I’ll just have to put it in my purse until we get home,” she says.
I hope the stray drops of Coke don’t spill
in your handbag, I think.
Other news: I went to Utah…again! Paga’s awesome ancestry
provided the excellent experience. Every year Joseph Fielding Smith’s
descendants have a reunion dinner in the Joseph Smith memorial building in Salt
Lake. As his grandson, Paga goes every year, so I went with him. I also got to
hang out with the Weaver fam for part of the week. It was so so so fun to catch
up with one of my BYU roommates, Faithie. We went shopping, went to Draper
temple with her siblings (it was her brother Eli’s first time), bought some
Swig (that’s where Faith works, so of course we had to get some), watched
Netflix (old habits never die), and stayed up so late that we were exhausted
every morning. Sometimes I wonder how we did that at BYU
every night, but I guess some mysteries are never solved.
